[1979,2000] Larry Levan - Live at the Paradise Garage (FLAC)

This is one of the most imperfect live mix CDs available, and would simply not obtain a release if it was recorded by a current DJ. But this was recorded in much more primitive times, when DJ technology wasn't as developed and underground clubs were not all about perfect mixing.
On this album you can hear manual adjustments to record speeds, trainwreck mixing and even some ill-advised mix selections, as well as analogue sound quality.
Yet it all sounds a bit better than your run-of-the-mill mix. Why then, is this CD apparently so great?
Because you can really feel the passion (and creativity) the DJ has for these sounds, and the quality is so high that the recording's technical imperfections don't detract from the experience.
Just imagine that you are there. This is your first rave, a visit to the Paradise Garage during the 1970s, and the underground, exciting atmosphere that comes with it. Would you have been listening out for technically-perfect DJing, or would you have been having the time of your life, at the start of something significant?
Since I've first listened to this, I have listened to it dozens of times, and it still sounds amazing. Get this and listen to history being made. It really is that good.

[1980] The Sound of 80 - Nanday 80' [Pop In The Mix] ''CD''

The Sound of 80 - Nanday 80'

This mix was made by a dj from Argentina, to be honest i don't know anything about him but, my dad bought this cd in 1998 (i think) and now i share this to all of you.
Is a beautiful mix with a lot of classic music, artist like Pet Shop Boys, David Bowie, Yazoo, Kool & The Gang,Silver Pozzoli have their moment.

[2008] Make The Road By Walking [Menahan Street Band] ''FLAC''

Make The Road By Walking

What a treat to the ears! Menahan Street Band are adept musicians that know how to make a statement with their suberb musical expertize. Each song on this disc titled," Make The Road By Walking " is like a masterful mini- composition" in an on- going screenplay that captures very distinct and suburban moods. The group's mastery of their instruments and the outstanding arrangements are to be applauded.
I have heard this group categorized as 'soul' but there are a lot of influences here: film soundtracks, afro-beat, funk, etc. That's not to say it is just a mish-mash - they have come up with a very unique sound. Anyways, you can't go wrong with this!

Genre : Afrobeat, Funk, Soul, Acid Jazz.

[2003] Beat Street Soundtrack Volume 1 And 2 [Varius Artist] ''FLAC''

Beat Street Volume 1 And 2

Brilliant , collection of all the songs of beat street soundtrack, including every song on the film, brilliant breaking music from a classic 80's film. If you're in to hip hop roots and some classic "scratchin'" this is for you.

Fucking love this movie men!

[2015] The Legend of Legacy Soundtrack [Masashi Hamauzu] ''FLAC''

The Legend of Legacy

It's a beautiful soundtrack overall. Hamauzu's music always evokes a certain "atmosphere" that I'd love to get lost in and explore. It reminds me of FFXIII, but sounds a lot more cohesive and I love the leitmotifs. I hope he continues to release more music digitally now.

Genre : Game Soundtrack, Electronic, Ambient, Neoclassical.
Quality : FLAC

[1993] The Best of Totally Wired [Varius Artist] ''FLAC''

The Best of Totally Wired

Ok, recently i have been playing Persona 5 and because of that now i'm a fan of the Acid Jazz. So the last mounth i searched a lot about this genre and i think is fantastic.
This is a great disc with really good music ¿my favorite tune? Impossible to decide...

Genre : Electronic, Funk, Soul, Acid Jazz.

[2004] Lightweight Heavy [Fat Jon] ''FLAC''

Lightweight Heavy

Fat Jon's beats make anyone wanna just Vibe out and relax. Either your on your bike, taking a walk to your next class on your Universty or college campus, or Sippin' a coffe at a coffe house. This Is that Music that Most RAP FANS haven't crossed paths with, but when they do they'll love his beats!!!
As a fan of hip hop and electronic and mellow beats, I find this album to be a pleasure each time i hear it.

Genre : Instrumental Hip-Hop, Beats, Hip-Hop.

[1999] Street Fighter III Third Strike Soundtrack Fight for the Future [Hideki Okugawa] ''FLAC''

Street Fighter III Third Strike

This is not the kind of soundtrack one can listen to regularly and get familiar with. I'd say it's best to play at a party because it makes for perfect background music to chatting and drinking and it's neo-techno feel is suitably apt.

The music presented here is rather good, with great beats and all but it just seems to be stuck in between a soundtrack CD and a regular 'trance' CD. Some of the tracks are 'Tribal Dance' mixes which I can't imagine most of the music being out-of-place in a typical nightclub even all these years later. It's also great for budding DJs to have fun with in mixing and editing.

Video game music has come a long way. This is the epitome of great techno music. All the music in here is great... my favorite is the James Bond-esque theme found in Yun and Yang's background music. The best part is the rapping (yes, rapping in a Street Fighter game!) done by the well-established Canadian hip-hop superstar Infinite. You must get this soundtrack... you will not be disappointed.

Genre : Game Soundtrack, Electronic, Techno, House, Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, Cool Jazz, Jungle.

[2012] Fastfall Soundtrack [Dustforce] ''FLAC

Fastfall

You don't need to be a fan of videogame soundtracks to appreciate the chill, electronic beats in this album.

The videogame this is associated with is one that requires extreme precision, concentration, and perfection (lots of failure) of the player. Normally, one would immediately think "frustrating", but this soundtrack keeps frustrations to a minimum and I find myself going back to this album for real world tasks, like when I'm at work, on the road, exercising, or undertaking tasks that otherwise challenge me. It's very cathartic.

Genre : Electronic, Game Soundtrack.

[1999] Underworld - Beacoup Fish (FLAC)

Underworld had really made a name for themselves after two critically acclaimed albums Dubnobasswithmyheadman and Second Toughest in the Infants and they had continued the trend with their third album Beaucoup Fish.
This was the last studio album to feature Darren Emerson before he left the group to pursue a solo career, but he made sure that he was going out with a bang on this album.
I describe Dubnobasswithmyheadman as a fun pop record and Second Toughest in the Infants as an emotionally driving record. I like to describe Beaucoup Fish as a head-banging record.

[2002] Nuspirit Helsinki [Nuspirit Helsinki] ''FLAC''

Nuspirit Helsinki

Nuspirit Helsinki is a collection of Finnish musicans, producers and DJ's, spearheaded by Tuomas Kallio and Hannu Nieminen. I've been a fan of theirs ever since I heard "Seis por Ocho" on an old Brazilectro album. Then when I found the album stateside quite some time ago, I had to take a chance and pick it up.

How to describe their sound? They go in and out of styles - sometimes they'll have some pretty smooth soul as is the case of the opening track "Honest" or the third track, "Trying". "Trying" stands out a bit as it features Lisa Shaw on vocals - she's put out some good smooth house 12" with Naked Music. "Subzero" is another good song that shows what happens with the collection of musical talents and producers. You've got nu-jazz and electronica beautifully melded together. And that's only the first three songs. When you hear "Seis Por Ocho", you're taken to a pretty live and festive sounding track that's got an amazing level of... cool energy. Other tracks I liked were "Circular", Montana Roja and "Skydive". Meanwhile "Orson" is a stand-out that sort of tricks you in the beginning before pulling you in. Good stuff.

I recommend this. I've enjoyed it and it fits in perfectly in the collection. I guess the natural recommendation if you like this is to check out works by fellow Scandinavians "Koop"; if you like this you'll definitley like Koop's "Waltz for Koop". In fact you may like works by Jazzanova and other Compost artists like Beanfield, Kyoto Jazz Massive or Rainer Truby too. At any rate, it's an album I enjoyed.

Genre : Acid Jazz.

[1976] Mother Earth's Plantasia [Mort Garson] ''FLAC Vinyl Rip''

Mother Earth's Plantasia

Absolutely amazing album. It’s soothing, thought provoking and genuinely magical. I’d describe listening to Plantasia to be like going on a journey to a fantasy land, where everything is as perfect as can be.

Genre : Ambient, Electronic.

[1987] Prince - Sign “☮” the Times (FLAC)

If you’re ever sat at home and suddenly you think to yourself “You know what? I’m going to become a Prince fan but I don’t know where to start.” This album is the answer to that question, this is by far the greatest Prince album out there, every song on here is a classic. Sex, relationships, partying and politics are all drawn together into one genius double album of classics. Favourite songs for me are Sign o the times, Strange relationship, If I was your girlfriend and Slow love. Slow love especially seems to be a very under appreciated and little known song but it is one of Princes most beautiful jazzy ballads.

[2004] Don't Look Now [Way Out West] ''FLAC''

Don't Look Now

I bet there are a few of us out there who are secretly inlove with the second half of this album. Yes, the fist disc is all original Way Out West material, fresh and clear, and as much as I try to see the higher meanings of the A side, the B is so much more romantic and explorative.
There is a lot of that Warrens' honesty in this music. That tasteful, lush and still very free sound that can bring together millions is definitely here. If I would to describe the music of the B side, it is: very melodic, groovy house, bright, light-in-sound percussion, very diverse, and yet all the tracks work in that magical special way that gives us the feeling ; D It reminds me a lot of the Renaissance: Revelations release, so if you know what I'm talking about, then you know that maybe this isn't such a waste of your time.

Genre : Electronic, House, Trance.

[2001] Intensify [Way Out West] ''FLAC''

Intensify

When I first got Way Out West's "Don't Look Now" I was disturbed by the overall feminine touch, though it grew on me quickly and I discovered the album's inner greatness. On this release, I was more instantly gratified. Though the feminine touch is still present on a couple of tracks, the overall album is more upbeat and hard-hitting in comparison. The sounds are fine-tuned and hi-tech, with lots of fluid and well-layered production. Every now and then a piano or exotic flute shines through for an ethereal moment. Great Album... especially "Sharkhunt," "Secret," "Mindcircus" and "Activity". Fans of Hybrid, Sandra Collins, Deepsky, etc. won't be disappointed

Genre : Electronic, Trance.
Quality : FLAC

[2017] Persona 5 Soundtrack [Shoji Meguro & Toshiki Konishi] ''FLAC''

Persona 5

An amazing assortment of musical pieces that are unique, well composed and memorable. The jazzy influence makes for a new sound in the Persona franchise, and it fits the theme of the game very well.

With over 100 tracks there is some variation in style, which is to be expected of a soundtrack that covers so many moods. It has moody pieces, exciting ones and quirky 8bit tracks all in one package.

I really love the jazzy vocal bits, even if the singer's English isn't so strong at times. I can't understand some of the words without a lot of thought, but it doesn't distract from the overall tone or direction. There are several tracks in this collection I will be listening to for years.

Genre : Acid Jazz, Game Soundtrack, Rock, Electronic.

[2020] Ori and the Will of the Wisps Soundtrack [Gareth Coker] ''FLAC''

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Just as amazing as the soundtrack was to Ori and the Blind Forest, Gareth Coker has done it once more with the soundtrack to Ori and the Will of the Wisps!

These tracks are beautiful and whisk you away to the Ori universe. If you are a fan of the series and the music from the first one, then you certainly will want to pick up this soundtrack as well! I constantly have this on repeat! I actually just completed this game today and listening to this soundtrack, these tracks still all the emotion within me as they did when I was playing the amazing game!

Genre : Ambient, Chillout, Electronic, Neoclassical, New Age, Game Soundtrack.
